Jesus said, "A prophet is without honor in his home town." Bret says he's not looking for honor, just a free cup of coffee.
Bret grew up in Kansas and gave his life to Christ at 16. After graduating from Kansas High School he headed off to study at Lincoln Christian College and served in several churches and ministries in the area. In 2002 Bret came back to serve for six months as our interim minister and ended up staying.
Bret and his wife Trish have three children, Megan, Grace and Connor.
Long before Steve served with us he was our neighbor. After our church fire we began to wonder, "Why would God put a minister in need of a job next door to us?"
Steve serves as our associate minister and works in teaching and administration. Steve is also a skilled counselor and serves both our church and community with his skills and gifts.
Steve and Tara Dawn have three children, Kaleb, Brittany and Nathan. When he's not keeping his kids entertained Steve is usually with his American Bulldog, Zaza.
If you stop by our office, chances are Diana's is the first face that will greet you. She keeps the office running and takes care of many of the administrative tasks around here. You will also find her very often with a visitor or two, offering a listening ear and an understanding heart.
Diana and her husband Jim are a vital part of KCC. They have four children, six grandchildren and, at last count, two great-grandchildren.
